Photo Submission
If you make it past the screening process, you will be eligible for a video interview with a member of our team. This will esure that you get to meet us and we get to know you. During this interview, we will go over the rules; conduct one last natural hair screening; and make sure you are properly informed on the competition standards, prizes, and travel instructions.
Do understand that there is a subjective judge scoring category which includes a contribution to the long hair community. Preference will be given to those who have made an impact in the long hair world whether through social media or other means.
Video Interview
Congratulations on making it this far!
Upon acceptance after the interview phase, some extra photos will be requested for posting on our website and social media. This is to help you attract more fans, brands, and sponsors.
On competition weekend, you will be given a complimentary free stay at our venue. One final screen will take place at the front desk. Any competitors who faked eligibility will not be granted access and will be banned from future competitions. The rooms provided may be used for your additional guests, up to 3 upon request. Guests will not have access to the competition unless they have tickets.
Competition Day
Our team wants to thank each applicant and competitor to remember that each of you are outstanding.
Even if you do not win a grand prize, you still accomplished so much by being among the elite in the long hair community.
You all were give travel compensation to help you enjoy the experience just for competing.
Hopefully on top of that, getting the opportunity to participate in this even gave you direct access to your fans, networking with sponsors, and new ways to learn how to grow your socials and your hair from fellow Rapunzels.

Application Process

Eligibility
Age
All competitors must be over the age of 18, or be considered a legal adult, at the time of competing. Fans of any age may enter the convention and view as spectators.
Future competitions may include a league for minors.
Cuts
Half shaved and/or half long hair styles are not allowed. This is to be fair for competitors who grow their full head of hair long.
Bangs are allowed.
Locks
Dreadlocks and braids will not be allowed forcompetition day.
These hairstyles hinder the judges' ability to differentiate between natural and fake hair.
Gender
This is a competition that promotes the natural feminine beauty of women. To be eligible for the competition, the applicants must identify as women.
This is to ensure the prize money goes to the appropriate winners.
Attachments
No extensions or wigs will be permitted. The competition aims to celebrate natural growth, time, and effort spent to properly care for long hair.
Colored hair is allowed.
Styles
On competition day, the only acceptable hairstyles are naturally let down. It is to each competitor's advantage so it can reach full length.
This will allow judges to accurately measure each contestant's hair.
Prizes
A grand total of $50,000 will be split among the winners.
